Pincushion Party!

Back to School: Precision Piecing Techniques

Back to School: Precision Piecing Techniques

Be a "party girl" and join the fun while making cute and clever pincushions. All the machine sewing has been done for you; all you have to do is some hand sewing and gathering, turning and stuffing, and embellishing. Give them as a gift or keep them for yourself!

There is a $10.00 kit fee per student.

(Choose any five pincushions per group.)

Back to School: Precision Piecing Techniques

This is a great refresher course for those who want to improve their piecing. The Schoolhouse block is perfect for teaching precise seam allowances, matching intersections, and easy set-in seams. Everything is already cut so just come and sew! You'll leave with directions for a mini quilt, a crib quilt, and a bed-sized quilt.

There is a $5.00 kit fee per student.

Blue Ribbon Bindings

Back to School: Precision Piecing Techniques

Blue Ribbon Bindings

Straight, even, ripple-free bindings with perfect corners can be yours! You'll practice on pre-quilted samples and also learn a fool-proof method for joining the ends. Discover tricks for scrappy bindings and what to do if you don't have enough fabric. Hear what the judges look for!

There is a $10.00 kit fee per student.

Workshop Requirements

One table for demonstrating; if possible, all student tables should face the front of the room instead of facing each other (there will be less talking and more sewing this way!).

For best results, the workshops should start as early as possible. The students in workshops that start at 9:00am get more done in the same amount of time as workshops that start at 10:00am.
